So, lately I have met a lot of people who say they are really into fashion and couture, yet don't know any designers, get them confused, or know they name but not their work and vise versa. Even girls in my own fashion designer major here in school! So here is a "Designer Dictionary" to share with you all and who ever needs that little extra help on their designers! The DD consists of mostly more known designers.

Alexander Mcqueen

Known for Skulls, and eclectic fashion. You can find Lady Gaga wearing him often.

Armani

An Italian designer, formally known as Giorgio Armani

Badgley Mishka

Known mainly for her luxury gowns

Balenciaga

Know for the iconic purses carried by many celebs

Burberry

Known mainly for the beige, brown, and white plaid pattern. Iconic look on their clothing and bags

 

Bottega Venta

Known for their bags mainly. The basket weave pattern on their purses is the most known

 

Bulgari

Known for their more exclusive jewelry  

 

Cartier 

Their Love and Nail bracelets are iconic. More known jewelry designer

Roberto Cavalli 

Fashion Designer. Known for his wild patterned garments

Celine

Clothing and Accessory designer. Her bags are well known and seen on many celebs

Chanel

One of the most known and prominent fashion designers of all time. Making clothing, shoes, bags, and jewelry. The intertwining CC symbol is iconic, which stands for Coco Chanel. Iconic quilt pattern usually used.

Chloe

Known mainly for the handbags, with a U shaped form. Also a designer for clothing and shoes.

Christian Dior

Another very well known TOP designer. Known for his hand bags and shoes. Also has clothing, fragrance etc.

Dolce and Gabbana

Top designer. Very well rounded with lines of shoes, clothing, bags, under garments, fragrance etc.

Fendi

Top shoe, bag and clothing designer. Their symbol is the Iconic F which mirrors itself upside-down

Tom Ford

Known for his high end sunglass and tailored mens suits

Diane Von Furstenberg

Fashion designer most known for her Wrap style dresses in many patterns and high quality fabrics

John Galliano

Fashion Designer who is more known for his more wild and eclectic style of couture gowns, with a classic edge

Jean Paul Gualtier

Couture Fashion Designer, more known for his gowns. Usually uses a more lighter color scheme for his gowns and risque fabrics

High end fashion designer known for his wild t-shirts and wild range of couture gowns

Known for their handbag collection, as seen on many celebs

Very well known designer. The iconic symbol is the GG twin.

A very luxury designer. Most known for the iconic Birkin Bag. Also known for their H symbol on their belts and jewelry
