A College Budget
So, I thought I would address the situation of college students and being on a budget. For many people, they are paying for their own school, paying for their own needs, or maybe only given an allowance every month. Whatever your monetary situation is, there are always ways around them to be able to keep up with your style and your love for designer goods!
So, I thought I would address the situation of college students and being on a budget. For many people, they are paying for their own school, paying for their own needs, or maybe only given an allowance every month. Whatever your monetary situation is, there are always ways around them to be able to keep up with your style and your love for designer goods!
Here are a few ways on how to stay on top of your Fashion game while on a budget!
EBAY
Ebay is a great way to find designer goods for cheaper prices. They have almost every designer imaginable. Although sometimes it can be hard to find something that is both in great shape and a steal price. Ebay may be a hit or miss, but does have a lot to offer. They even have some items that are unused and for cheap to!
BLUEFLY
Bluefly is another online alternative. Everything on this website has never been used before, and is cheaper than normal price. It usually consists of designer products that are older seasons, but hey, who really knows the difference. YSL is YSL! The prices are usually about 20 to 50 percent off the normal prices. I have collected many things from this site and it does not disappoint! I would recommend Bluefly to anyone!
BAG, BORROW, OR STEAL
Bag, Borrow, or Steal is the best place for handbags! Although you can't buy them, you can rent them! It's almost like you have a whole closet of them! A new one every other week! You can choose whatever you want! It's also a great site if you are going away on a vacation and need a good bag! On here you can rent any bag you want for a full month and pay less than a quarter of the price. Prices of the bags range on the quality and popularity and demand of the designer. Just make sure to keep the purse in tip-top shape while it's yours! And the best part is...You don't have to tell anyone you're borrowing it..Shhh
RENT THE RUNWAY
Rent The Runway is the same concept as Bag, Borrow, or Steal. RTR offers many designers such as Herve Leger, Badgley Mischka, Vera Wang and many others! Their shipping is super fast and their prices are very reasonable! Rent The Runway is great for an event that you need a perfect outfit for, a night out, a vacation, the reasons are endless! Everyone will admire the couture that you're in. Rent The Runway can be your little secret!
PLATOS CLOSET
Plato's Closet will be a hit or miss for designer Items, but you will usually be able to find something when you go in! Plato's Closet consists of clothing, shoes, and accessories that have been gently used. It is a great alternative to shopping and finding a cute outfit. Plato's closet can be found all over the country, so they are easy and convenient! You can also take your own clothes there and get money for it!
MARSHALLS AND TJ MAX
Both these stores are very similar in what they have to offer. They won't have luxury designers such as Gucci or Dior, but from time to time you'll find Marc Jacobs or Michael Kors. The clothing options they will have include those designers, French Connection, Levi, True Religion, Etc. The prices are marked down tremendously, but the store is a hit or miss!
Here are also some websites for clothing that is cheaper in price, but still great quality! Some of these items even look like real designer pieces!

*Websites that are still great prices, but a little more pricey
***AND HERES A TIP***
Try mix and matching cheaper things with nicer things, it can make the whole outfit as a whole look more expensive and classier.
For example, try pairing a dress from H&M with a designer bag like a Chanel or LV, A good quality pair of shoes, and some nice jewelry. No one would ever think you were wearing an H&M dress.
If you were to pair a whole outfit together from Forever 21, it can be easy to tell due to the fabrics and quality of the garments, and it would look more cheap and tacky. So, mix it up a little!
